Grass Valley har fået et kunde panel

Nu er det jo ikke alle der – bare sådan – kommer og handler Grass Valley, så når giganten etablerer et såkaldt “GVX Customer Council”, må man formode at de kunder der er med i dette, ved hvad de har købt og – forresten – også hvad de gerne vil have at dette eller næste generation af udstyret skal kunne.

Ideen ser med andre ord ud til at være en del af den trend der kunne opleves sidst i 2019 og her i 2020, hvor producenter af hardware – løbende – forsøger at få deres eksisterende kunder “tættere på”, bedst understreget af at Panasonic fravalgte IBC2020 for at “fokusere på deres kunder i stedet”.

At IBC2020 senere blev aflyst er mindre relevant i den forbindelse.

Igen.

Grass Valley har åbenbart også brug for at have deres kunder tættere på, hvilket både betyder at deres kunder kommer tættere på tankerne bag det nyeste udstyr, ganske som kunderne kan være med til at præge en udvikling – for eksempel – imod mere IP og eller Remote baseret produktion.

“GVX”, starter “stille og roligt” med Dave Mazza fra NBC Sports, Del Parks fra Sinclair Broadcast Group, Helen Clifton fra ABC Australia, Mauricio Felix fra Globo, Ruba Ibrahim fra Al Arabiya Network, Scott Rothenburg fra NEP, og Gordon Castle fra Discovery, som en del af den gruppe der – fra starten af – vil være med til at påvirke udviklingen af Grass Valley hard og software.

Som vi forstår det, er det planen også at inkludere både Europa og Asien mere.

Omvendt er det en række – endog meget store – kunder, der er med i “panelet”. ( The GVX Customer Council )
