Big TV samlet et sted

Det kan godt være at det “kun” er i England at Banijay kommer til at være “ledende på markedet”.

Omvendt kan der vel ingen tvivl herske om at koncernens nylige ( færdiggørelse ) af opkøbet af Endemol Shine Group, 3 juli, ender med at komme til at påvirke alle de markeder hvor den nu – endog meget store koncern – opererer.

Dermed er det svært ikke også at forestille sig at Banijay UKs udvikling ligner den vi kan se frem til i Norden, som eksempel.

Den sammenlagte storkoncern ( 88.000 timer/formater på “hylderne”), der – i England – pludselig er blevet 25 produktionsselskaber større, under deres nye sammenlagte brand, lover at de for fremtiden vil have ( mere ) fokus på “content and creativity”, og at de to giganter er fuldt og helt sammenkørte ved årsskiftet 2020/2021.

Udviklingen må i den forbindelse formodes også at påvirke resten af verden.

Blandt de mange formater der fortsat produceres/ejes rettigheder til er nemlig ( blandt andet ) “MasterChef”, “Survivor”, “Temptation Island”, “Tipping Point”, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”, “Big Brother”, “Location, Location, Location”, “Scott Squad and Hunted”, samt et utal af andre formater, der – som du kan se på titlerne – også har gode seertal her i landet, uanset hvilket kanaler de sendes på.

 -The UK is now one of our biggest markets, with a plethora of multi-genre labels and an incredible catalogue that has travelled the globe. With this scale we needed robust leadership, which spanned both the creative narrative of the group, as well as the operational one.
